Blodger’s Odd Poetic Afternoon With Armida Delaro

In a parlour scene in which Stephen Blodger, soap-works owner turned amateur poet, parades a rough ode to the Atlantic, Armida Delaro and her mother humor him. Armida reads a verse she drafted, Blodger praises, and conversation reveals his ambition to publish, hindered by his trade name and lack of editors.
