At Fort Dodge yesterday the Tax Greenback Convention placed Hon. Ad iron Oliver in nominative for Congressional honors, but the gentleman declines peremptorily. The convention adjourned with the assumption that every party member may be a Congressional nominee and receive one vote.
The Ways and Means Committee approves by six to five the expediency of imposing an income tax. No bill is framed yet as details are to be arranged by the committee majority.
