Youthful man surrenders after fatal porch shooting
Elton Sam Nall, 28, carrying a pistol and an empty rifle, walked into the sheriff office and surrendered in the slaying of Luther M. Darnell, 38, a plumber shot on his front porch at 411 North West Twelfth Avenue yesterday afternoon. Nall fired 11 shots from a rifle and a pistol earlier. Darnell died at St Anthony's hospital. Nall turned over two guns and told officers he could not say if Darnell was dead when he left him.
