Validity of Small Stream Bed Bill Challenged
In Austin on Sept 7 the Small stream bed land title bill was attacked as void and unconstitutional in a brief for W T Caswell and M H Reed before the third civil appeals court in the state suit against C W Bradford and over 500 others. The case concerns title to oil lands in the bed of the north fork of the Red River in Gray and Wheeler counties. District Judge George Calhoun sustained the bill and excluded intervenors. Both state and Caswell and Reed appealed.
