William Stafford Sloan 76 father of Floyd L Sloan ad jutant of Amarillo American Legion Hanson Post died after brief illness in a local hospital. He was born May 3 1864 near Havannah Illinois moved to Canadian in 1913 farmed then moved to Amarillo 1925. Survived by wife Nancy Sloan and three daughters and two sons and one brother. Funeral Tuesday at Blackburn-Shaw Chapel with burial in Llano Cemetery.
