Hutchinson County tax collector Arthur Huey is held in the county jail in Borger after a misappropriation charge of 2800 dollars tied to funds from 1932. He also faces murder charges in the slaying of A. P. Borger, founder of the city and former Borger State Bank president. The district attorney may hold a preliminary hearing Monday.
The Department of Justice identified William Joyce of New York City as one of two men found near a wrecked stolen car near Tucumcari on August 22. Joyce was shot three times and had deserted from the U S Army at Fort Bliss in December 1929. The second man remains unidentified.

Police and deputies searched the Overton road area. In Galveston a hit and run killed fishing boat captain Albert Halvers on a city street. he died six hours after admission to John Sealy Hospital.
