Rainstorm Floods Panhandle Cities Stranding Vehicles

A heavy rainstorm drenched the Panhandle causing flooded underpasses in several cities. One car washed off the road in Swisher County. two cars stranded on a south Tulia overpass. Burl Graham of Odessa drove into high water on U S 87 four miles south of Tulia. Tulsa recorded 1.32 inches by 9 p m with totals rising to about three inches. Dumas reported 2.35 inches by 8 p m as the storm continued.
