Potter County courthouse deputies poured confiscated liquor over several hours attracting a large crowd. Sheriff Bill Adams said hundreds of gallons would be destroyed, with the liquor vault filled. bottles and jars will be sold later.
Wholesale and retail beer firms in Potter County paid 15519.25 in state and county taxes for the year ending June 30 1934. The county kept 5173.08 of the sum while 10346.17 went to the state. Potter County paid 272780.70 to the state in current poll and delinquent taxes.
Fire loss in Amarillo last month was exceptionally low according to Chief George Cooper. The exact amount of loss paid by fire insurance companies in Amarillo for August had not been computed.
Yesterday the chief said alarms will be low and three of 28 last month were false. One alarm originated outside city limits and most fires damaged cars and trucks.

Police in Amarillo report 28 traffic accidents in August, down from 33 in July. One crash occurred outside the corporate limit, notably the August 4 death of Charles Kalka, a White Deer farmer. Ten people were injured in August crashes.
