A large crowd gathered at the Bivins family home in Amarillo to honor Julian L. Jude Bivins and his son Billy after their airplane crash twelve miles north of Amarillo. Cowboys, ranch workers, and friends from Texas and New Mexico attended services at the home and Llano Cemetery with Bishop E C Seaman officiating. The pair, both pilots, were buried in separate graves beneath branded wreaths and were remembered for their progressive spirit and ranching leadership.
