May 11 one of three fugitives from the East ham State Prison Farm was captured today after a deadly break that left Virgil Welch dead and guard Tom Stephens injured. Harry Lutlow, found badly wounded with a shotgun wound to the lung, gave no resistance. The remaining two escapees, Sam Grant and R G Tipton, continue at large as posse and dogs track toward Trinity River bottoms guided by Lee Simmons supervisor.
