Deborah Kay Thompson an 18 month old child died when a car backed over her near her home in Pantex Village Her parents Cpl Waldo Thompson and Mrs Darrell Holmes provided statements to Sheriff John Nunn of Carson County The incident occurred about 350 PM as Mrs Holmes backed from a parking area to Farm to Market Road 683 near Pantex Village and main street with her three children and mother present.

John Overton Parr 72 died at 1 20 p m in Northwest Texas Hospital after a month of illness. A longtime Amarillo resident since the early 1900s he lived at 1913 Monroe. Parr contributed as a seasoned early day construction man in the area.
