Young Thief Tells Of 400 Burglaries
A 22 year old Ra venna Ohio man James Leslie Hurd told Amarillo detectives he carried out a six month burglary spree across the eastern half of the United States. He said he targeted small businesses and kept a running total never exceeding three hundred dollars per break in. He explained he wore gloves and rotated three pairs of shoes to mislead investigators. He was arrested in Tucumcari New Mexico while attempting to buy seat covers and then stealing from Garland's Trim Shop.
