A father named George Cisholm alias Georges Smith 86 formerly of Montreal confessed he caused the deaths of his two sons 9 and 7 by convincing them to walk onto a plank stretched over the Indiana Harbor Ship Canal promising to take them to see their dead grandmother. He said he intended to kill his three sons and himself because he could not provide a home, and he lured the boys from Montreal after quarrels with his wife who had returned to England.
