Mercy's Sake Tune In Red Cross program airs Sunday at 8 45 over KGNC inviting listeners to begin listening this morning. The Potter County Red Cross Layette Department shows donor support from Daughters of the King of St Andrews Episcopal Church led by Mrs W N Barrick with a growing need and plans to continue again next year. The Arts and Skills Corps lecture on military and hospital ethics drew about 20 women at the Amarillo Army Air Field Station Hospital with praise from St Louis for the Potter County Chapter activity and its rare state presence in San Antonio.

War Refugee Relief Garments Sent From Potter County

The Potter County Commissioners Court donated 8000 new garments to National Headquarters for War Refugee Relief. Adult clothing will support the relief effort while many children’s garments will aid local charities.

Bride Weds in Gruver Ceremony Plans Tampa Home

The ceremony at the bride’s parents’ home featured a three tier heart shaped cake with pink flowers and a miniature couple. The bride, Gruver, and her groom, a Gruver High School and Amarillo College alum, now in the Army Air Force, will reside in Tampa Florida. Traveling attire included a black and white sheer dress with a gardenia corsage. Out of town guests included the Sloan family of Dalhart Flathers family Canaidan Dunn family Waynoka and Rose Flathers.
