5000 Dancers Swirl At Amarillo State Festival
The Amarillo Civic Center hosted the seventh annual Texas State Federation Festival of Square and Round Dancers drawing about 5000 attendees from Texas and neighboring regions plus participants from Minnesota and Puerto Rico. Car Strikes Pole and Bursts Into Fire
Police report a vehicle exiting the freeway missed the ramp, traveled 130 yards along an embankment, struck a light pole, and erupted in flames.
