Randall Farmer Dies in Electric Accident South of Canyon
Randall Dixson a 38 year old county farmer was electrocuted while working on a power line pole near Canyon when wind knocked him into a live wire. He lived eight miles south of Canyon and is survived by a wife, four daughters, a son, two sisters, a brother in the Navy, and his mother. Funeral services will be held in Shawnee. In other notes the Amarillo Helium Plant will be placed in standby and production reduced after Sept 1 1945 as part of a conservation move following V E Day play. Extension plans include continued storage work under George Edlandson with research at the Cryogenic Laboratory, and other plants like Cunningham Kan closing with staff reassignment.
