In Lake City Florida on July 28 Booth and his bride Helen Booth were charged with first degree murder in the death of Obie Simmons 78 of Steubenville Ohio. Simmons body was found in woods near Lake City last Tuesday. The jury found death by deadly weapon at the hands of Booth and Mrs Booth. A warrant was issued immediately after the verdict and the couple vanished despite a state wide search.

In Dahlonega Georgia police arrest Abraham Civil a farmer after a severed head is found near Smith's farm. The discovery leads to a linkage with missing 18 year old George Walden whose torso is found nearby. Heavy rain washed soil from the scene exposing the grisly remains.
