Youth Charged In Brutal Slaying In Lincoln
George Thomas Lee of Wisconsin was charged with first degree murder in the death of 8-year-old Charles Mulholland whose body was found in a barn hayloft. Lancaster County Attorney Frederick Wagner said Lee, a transient aged 17 or 18, had recently stayed at the city mission after being given clothing at the Salvation Army citadel where Mulholland and his mother had stayed. Wagner noted the boy was criminally attacked and Police Chief Joe Carroll called the crime one of the most vicious he had seen.
