Texas outlaw shot by ex-treasurer’s husband in Kansas
In Richland Kansas on January 28 a Texas thief identified as Billy Gene Ross, 23, was killed by Andrew Gray, husband of Georgia Neece Clark Gray, former U.S. treasurer. Ross had returned to rob Gray’s home with accomplices, taking about $2,000 and missing a $12,000 safe. Gray fired from the second floor as Ross climbed a stair landing, killing him. The couple described Mamie the beagle as a hero and said they would protect their home.

A quiet civil engineer William D Bauer, 48, killed his wife Florence and four relatives including his mother and in law with a pump shotgun in Parsippany Troy Hills New Jersey then killed himself.
