Voters approve budget rollback in Randall County race
Randall County voters narrowly backed cutting this year’s tax hike by at least two million dollars. The tally showed 6,743 for the rollback and 6,271 against, a 472 vote margin. The choice was between reducing the 27 percent increase to about 8 percent or holding at 27 percent. The higher rate would rise property tax from about 27 to 34 cents per hundred. A rollback supporter urged that the public can adjust and make it work.
