Death of Plains pioneer Tom Currie marked by tributes
Tom Currie died at 5:25 A M at his home 2116 Van Buren Street after seven years of illness. Funeral services are set for 2:30 P M Monday at the First Christian Church with Dr R C Snodgrass leading. Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home is handling arrangements. He is survived by his wife a daughter Mrs O Dale Smith two grandchildren two brothers and a sister. Born in Camille Ontario November 18 1872 he came to the Texas Plains at age 17.
