Amarillo High School’s Golden Sandies outgained Breckenridge Buckaroos 303 to 83 yards and stifled Magness with a stout secondary to win 13–0 at Butler Field before 12,000 fans. Smooth shopliftings end Amarillo week with two holdups

Mrs N E Rubottom of 1113 Johnson Street and her 4 year old son Forest Dale die or are injured after a Sunday night crash on the Panhandle Highway two and a half miles east of Amarillo. Wanda 7 suffers a jaw fracture while the father is badly cut. Frances 2 is unharmed. The family was in a Hudson coach when the driver failed to turn onto the pavement and struck an embankment. The victims were rushed to Northwest Texas Hospital where the mother dies en route. The skulls of the mother and boy are crushed and fractured respectively.
