Dowlen frees Davis on temporary million dollar bond
Cullen Davis, a 43 year old Fort Worth millionaire, walked out of the Potter Randall courthouse free on a temporary one million dollar bond amid a capital murder trial. CAPE CANAVERAL Fla AP Voyager 2 blasted off toward Jupiter and Saturn on a $500 million mission to study the solar system. Despite early signs of trouble with a beam and a stabilizing gyro, officials said the craft appeared healthier than expected and the six foot boom with two cameras and three experiments likely extended properly. The craft will not reach Jupiter until July 10 1979 with Voyager 1 following later. both aim to reveal Earth's origins and solar system formation by tracking atmospheres magnetic fields and cosmic rays.
