Glynn Hollis Bunch 33, former Silverton vocational agriculture teacher, was given a 20-year penitentiary sentence by a 72nd District Court jury for the shotgun slaying of his brother in law Wayne Bearden on Oct. 25, 1957 near Silverton. The jury verdict was guilty of murder with malice. Bunch claimed Bearden was accidentally shot during a hunting trip following a misunderstanding.
