Boy Dies Under Wheels of Truck on West Sixth Avenue

Floyd Ray Griffin a nine year old boy was killed when struck by a pickup driven by George Richardson on West Sixth Avenue near Jackson Street at 8 15 PM. He clutched a dollar bill and was heading to a nearby store. Police ruled it an unavoidable accident as Griffin entered the traffic dodging two vehicles. The boy’s parents live at 500 Monroe Street. Randolph street witnesses and Lt Wall assisted. he was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital where he died. Burial arrangements to be announced by Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home.
