Grant Hale Dies at 68 Pioneer Santa Fe Official
Grant Hale 68 longtime peace officer and former Santa Fe superintendent of special service died at his Amarillo home after a three year illness. Born in Nevada Iowa he moved to Dodge City 1886 and later served as sheriff there. He spent 30 years with the Santa Fe and led special agents from Wellington to Albuquerque. Funeral today at Griggs chapel at 1 pm with Dr. R Thomson officiating. Interment in Dodge City alongside wife and son.
