Bride slashes husband over civil marriage in Cleveland

Mrs Warrick Pioneer Here Dies After Four Months in Amarillo

Mrs Margaret Sidney Warrick 81 long resident of Panhandle Plains died last night in a local hotel after four months in Amarillo for treatment. Native of Missouri her husband J C Warrick who died fifteen years ago was a freighting man in the Panhandle. Survived by a sister Mrs F T Feltz of Kennedale Texas body moved to Dumas for burial by Griggs ambulance.

Secession Drives Borger Trade Group To Form Board Of Trade

Borger citizens secede from the chamber of commerce to form a new Borger board of trade and commerce. At a meeting led by Mayor Glen Pace and City Judge W E Crabtree, the group voted that the new body will not back or oppose any state county or city candidates. Officers elected include O C Witcher as president and W K Crabtree as vice president with D Hy Thardy as second vice president and O C Goodwin as secretary manager. A 15 member director slate was named and a membership drive begins next Wednesday.

Amarillo Fans Welcome Special Train to Lubbock Fair

Amarillo sent a 165% Boosters train to the South Plains fair with a 20 piece high school band and delegation greeted by local officials at the station. The group toured Tech College and attended fair activities as twelve counties showcase farm exhibits and livestock. Police report a burglary at Piggly Wiggly store No. 2 on Polk street with suspect Robert Printy formally charged and officers seek another man involved. City officials note a new safe-knob removal method linked to the crime and say arrests may follow with intercity help.
