Keep Fit Classes Planned at YWCA
Keep fit classes for business girls will be offered at 7 and 8 oclock Thursday night by the YWCA. The eight week course beginning Oct 25 will be taught by Jane Darland, assistant director of the Downton USO, with a focus on relaxation, streamlined exercises, and nutrition. Miss Darland, a University of Town graduate, has taught PE at Michigan State and led health education in YWCA groups across several cities. She has been a USC-YWCA staff member since July 1941. The Census Bureau notes housing conditions nationwide have improved since 1940 despite shortages.
