Explosionwrecks Worcester judge's home injuring wife

An explosion believed to be a bomb wrecked Superior Judge Webster Thayer's home in Worcester Mass injuring his wife and shaking neighbors. A maid Joan Ashe was taken to hospital in hysterics while the judge escaped unhurt. The blast shattered every window and damaged the garage and barn. Authorities sought a bomb expert as Thayer had long faced threats after sentencing Sacco and Vanzetti.

McCoy Trial Postponed In Am arillo Burglary Case

State's attorneys requested more time to secure witnesses in the fourth district criminal court burglary case of G. W. McCoy of Amarillo. He is charged in the Clowe & Cowan plumbing shop burglary at 223 West Fourth Avenue on September 20. McCoy was not found in the shop. he was arrested September 21 at Dumas after burglary tools were found in his car. He claimed two men forced him to drive toward Dumas and to a North Amarillo park where tools were hidden. He was indicted late last week.
