Woman's Sorrows Told In Gibbons Trial

In 47th District Court Mrs Jimmie A Gibbons 41 stands trial for assault with intent to murder husband Joe Gibbons after a April 20 shooting in their kitchen. Dr E E Reeves testified the bullet remains buried in the victim's head. Witnesses said the act stemmed from years of following him and desertion fears amid Pellagra and near starvation. Social worker Dixie Harrison testified kitchen was barren of food and that the family lived in a cramped apartment with several adults. Gibbons family members attended as the husband described his wife as a good wife though she nagged.
