Temple indicted for robbing a Lorenzo post office lock box.
Japan withdrew from the league in 1933 after the assembly declared Japanese actions in Manchuria unjustified, marking a split with the organization.
A 23yearold former Texas cowboy named William J Langford became sole owner of the 63foot yacht Winetta after an anonymous inventor John 8 Nairn gifted it in Brooklyn. Langford, initially penniless, plans to sail the yacht around the world despite lacking funds. The stranger said the gift would let the owner have fun with the boat.
The body of Rose Matteron of Houston washed ashore near La Porte Galveston Bay. Justice Kubler said bruising and grass burns suggest she was killed and dragged to the water. Miss Matteron had disappeared from the Glauser home after leaving a despondent note.

Albert K. Mitchell, Bell Ranch manager of New Mexico and nationally known beef cattle judge, began judging at the Tri State Fair Hereford show this morning. Bulls were assessed in the forenoon and cows and heifers were to be judged this afternoon.
