Policeman Fatally Wounds Man in Streetcar Argument

In Dallas an off duty officer shot L. C. Akins after an argument over a street car entry. Akins, a 26 year old janitor, advanced on the officer with a knife. Akins then fatally wounded the policeman and fired at Private Hugh Gill, who intervened. Gill escaped injury.
