Junior colleges seek fair VA funding after trips to Washington
Amarillo Junior College president Dr A M Meyer says 31 representatives have returned from Washington to report that VA support for veteran class salaries and administration costs is insufficient. The group, including leaders from Lamar, Christi, and Houston junior colleges, met VA officials to push for a funding settlement as tuition cuts of 18 to 30 percent bite. They will compile administration cost data for review to determine possible tuition increases.
