Fair shows to offer thrills at Tri-State Fair
The Beckmann and Gerety Shows arrive in Amarillo to set up a 35-car midway at the Tri-State Fair Grounds for the annual exposition. Final tribute to Edwin R. Briggs 87 was paid in funeral services this morning from Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home. Interment was in Llano Cemetery. Briggs, a retired farmer, had lived in Amarillo for 19 years and died Monday at his daughter's home.
