Heavy rains sweep Panhandle and Plains regions
The Panhandle and western Oklahoma saw heavy rainfall Thursday night bringing the best moisture since May. East Panhandle and western areas reported soaking rains while the extreme northwest, including Dallam County, had lighter totals. Rain continued in parts of the Panhandle over three evenings with amounts from a half inch to three inches in the northeast. Local forecasts call for lingering showers through Sunday with partial clearing later.
