Fear Denton Student Vanishes in Suspected Abduction
Robert M. Barnes Jr. a 22 year old North Texas Teachers College student and bank official's son disappeared after leaving the Denton bank at 4 AM. Three Die in Western Air Express Plane Crash
Three people were killed when a Boeing transport crashed after takeoff from Union Air Terminal en route to Salt Lake City. Pilot George C. Sherwood 39 co pilot Fred Burlew 35 and stewardess Donna Naylor 22 died as the plane struck a high tension wire and burned near a ranch. Seventeen sacks of US mail were on board and traffic around the scene was severely disrupted. Firefighters from Burbank Hollywood and Los Angeles fought the blaze for 20 minutes before recovering the remains.

Black Sedan Tied to Mrs Ickes Crash in New Mexico
