Lull in Draft Registration at Potter County Board
Draft registration activity in Amarillo's Municipal Auditorium slowed to idle activity on Wednesday with 70 new draft cards issued by noon for men born in 1923. Officials predicted a return to normal pace Thursday as a new group enters the schedule and lines resume. Acting Texas A&I president Ernest H. Poteet succeeded Dr. E. N. Jones, who leaves to join Texas Tech. The college plans $280,000 for branch libraries.
