Dinner Plan For Executives At Amarillo Blackstone Hotel
The Amarillo American Business Club hosts Pete Neumann of Danville Illinois national executive secretary of American Business Clubs at a 6 oclock dinner in the Black stone Hotel. Ross Larsen serves as club president and members and guests will attend and greet the visitor. Neumann recently toured Texas clubs visiting Lubbock Big Spring and Lamesa where he helped charter a new group. He heads to Indianapolis tomorrow after the event. The fall dance at the Amarillo Country Club features the 10 piece Amarillo Field orchestra with open guest invitations. Roy Kerr chairs the entertainment and recreation committee which plans the event. Five squirrels died in Woodstock Ontario after tar entanglement.

Lt. Arthur E F McCook son of Mrs Gladys McCook 2121 B Tyler received the Bronze Star Medal. He serves in the 338th Engineer General Service Regiment Peninsular Base Section Mediterranean Theater of Operations which cleared 30000 land mines from Leghorn streets. He arrived overseas in April 1943 and is a Panhandle High School graduate who worked as a Texas Highway Department inspector before joining the Army.
