Burglars Hit Office of Judge Pell in Potter County
Burglars stole 128 dollars in cash and checks from Judge F. H. McGregor’s third floor Potter County courthouse office last night. Police say entry was through a window onto an offset roof and the money cabinet was jimmied but the room not ransacked. Mrs. Blanche Calhoun, clerk of the Domestic Relations Court, said all loot except 35 dollars was cash and the burglary was found when she arrived for work.

He reports three gunshot wounds to head neck and foot with a chipped spine causing arm paralysis, and he is to be transported to a hospital. His mother Mrs. Jim Walker of 825 Virginia learned of the Aug. 17 Defense Department notice. Acton held the light heavyweight boxing title in his unit and was praised by his first sergeant for bravery.

Indiana cave seals fate of Old Bob coon dog
In Bedford Indiana a bulldozer filled the cave entrance sealing Old Bob the coon dog for eight days. Rescue efforts failed and workers cleared the site to prevent further danger while attempts to reach the dog through a marrow passage failed. Owner Lawrence Clark said the dog disappeared while being exercised.

Truck Driven By Mom Kills Two Children in Floydada
A mother backed a truck at the Fullingim farm southeast of Petersburg and killed her two children, Dubelsa H. 4 and Manuel H. 2, with Corina Garcia 5 critically injured. Crash Hurts 3 Near Farwell
Three Farwell residents were injured in a two car crash at Farm to Market Road 60 nine miles east of Farwell. Mr. Jesko and Mrs. Kersey were treated for injuries at Clovis Memorial Hospital with conditions listed as good and fair respectively. Mr. Jesko was knocked from his car and pinned beneath it until rescuers lifted the vehicle.

Flier Who Dodged Chinese Reds' Shots Has Mother-in-Law Here
