Trio of crashes kill three and injure three near Plainview
Three people died and three were hurt in Sunday highway crashes. Gloria Loretta Lafferty, 13, of 4213 North East Fourteenth, was listed in fair condition at St Anthony's Hospital after a rear impact injured her and others. Mrs Alice M Hollabaugh, 24, of Route 1 Amarillo, died in the collision two miles north of Canyon on Highway 70 while returning from Amarillo. The accident also involved Mrs Lafferty's mother and Mrs Hollabaugh's year-old son. Mr and Mrs Travis Weaver of Littlefield were reported slightly improved at Plainview Hospital. their car had previously collided with a vehicle driven by Daniel J Patrick of Littlefield, who died in the same crash.
