Revolving American Statue Gift for Moscow Square
A large bronze statue made in the United States and funded by American dollars will adorn Moscow’s Palace of Labor square. The Trade Union Council accepts the gift from the American Society of Friends of the Soviet Union as a symbol of Soviet American friendship. The figure will rotate once every 24 hours, powered electrically, in what sculptor Adolf Wolff calls the first revolving statue.
