Roundup and Barbecue at Boys Ranch Draws Panhandle Visitors
About 250 visitors from across the Panhandle attended a Boys Ranch barbecue at old Tascosa hosted by the Borger Lions Club led by barbecue king R L Grimes. Cowboys and volunteers staged branding of calves, roping demos, and tours of barracks and rodeo-style events as Army officers, ranchers, and families watched.
