Mrs Lee Humphreys of 10608 Harrison street learned her brother W. R Finley, formerly living here, passed away at his Celina Texas home yesterday. He is also brother to Mrs J B Kerr of 1499 Harrison street. Mrs Humphreys leaves today for the funeral.

Fort Worth Texas Oct 19 Extension of the Quanah Acme and Pacific railroad from McBain to Floydada twenty eight miles faced opposition from the Santa Fe at a Texas railroad commission hearing. The Santa Fe was the sole opponent and resolutions from five towns along the route were submitted by the applicant. The hearing adjourned as both sides agreed to file the July Plainview testimony to the record.

Civil War veteran and Panhandle cattleman Captain T. S. Bugbee dies near Clarendon after a long life as one of the region’s leading ranchers. He helped introduce wire fencing, operated near Adobe Walls, and later ran a Clarendon ranch with extensive Panhandle holdings. He is survived by his widow, a son John Bugbee of Clarendon, and six daughters in California, Washington, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Charley Priola's store beside Northwest Texas hospital on West Sixth street was robbed of 53 dollars, candy, and edibles Sunday. Cecil Strak and Morris Freeman, youths, were arrested by police and turned over to juvenile officer Mrs. Jessie N. Ross. Priola plans to file robbery charges in county juvenile court.
Brigadier General Thomas T. Heath aged 91 died yesterday at his home in Lockland Ohio. The Civil War officer was breveted for gallantry at the Battle of Waynesboro Georgia and was among the last surviving generals of the conflict.
