Pfc Edward E Easton son of Mrs Pearl Lowery 402 North Lincoln returns from the European Theater to receive his Army discharge He served as a scout with the 507th Parachute Infantry and wears the Bronze Star Purple Heart CIB Unit Citation and six campaign stars Overseas 31 months and 111 points toward discharge He and his wife plan to make Amarillo their home after discharge formerly of Abilene.

Four Convicts Escape Prison in Huntsville Truck Break
Four Huntsville State Prison inmates fled after climbing into a six ton refrigerated truck at the commissary and smashing through the gate. They abandoned the van nearby and escaped in a stolen car.
