Police tracked two Portland youngsters to a car tied to G. G. Browning of Mount Olive North Carolina. Browning allegedly offered a ride to Baltimore or beyond, and the trio vanished from their Alexandria camp. The youths, taken into custody after a relative raised concern over the stolen North Carolina plated car, faced no charges pending Maryland action. Body to be transported by Santa Fe at 4 15 pm with burial arrangements by Blackburn Shaw.

In Waterloo Iowa the jury in a district court damage suit remained hung for 40 minutes. Bailiff David W. Barr and jurors were taken to dinner when an elevator stuck between floors. It took 40 minutes to free them and conclude the delay.
A six year old, Gerald Lockman, was injured in a car crash and taken to Denver General Hospital. He greeted his father Walter Lockman with Hi Pop as he stepped from the ambulance and then said Hi Mom to his nurse mother Eva Lockman who provided first aid for cuts and bruises.
