Drought Relief Extended for Panhandle Feeds
Ninety day extension of emergency drought rates on livestock feeds was announced by Col. Ernest O Thompson of the Texas Railroad Commission. The extension runs to February 1, 1936 and follows a Panhandle Livestock Association request. The reduced rate lowers cottonseed cake by about $2 per ton, cutting delivery prices to roughly 27 to 29 per ton in the Panhandle region. The North Plains will import feeds while the South Plains expects bumper crops to excess supply.
