L F Rayburn aged 90 died this morning at his home in Happy Texas. He leaves a widow and daughter Miss Zitta Rayburn both of Happy. He was a Baptist and Mason and had been a Nebraska public official in earlier life. Retired over twenty years his body rests with Griggs Undertaking awaiting relatives before funeral and burial at Happy.
Fort Worth October 14 Prohibition agents in Texas and Oklahoma will expire at midnight Thursday and will be reorganized Friday Maj H White administrator said today the reorganization covers all agents with a few exceptions since September 1
Ralph Howard, a Singer Sewing Machine salesman, and his family barely escaped injury when their car plunged twenty feet off a bridge after three cattle crossed the roadway twelve miles beyond Adrian. Three pursuing cars, including hunters, pulled their vehicle from the ditch. only a bent fender was reported.
The executive committee of the Methodist Episcopal Church today disavowed responsibility for conclusions issued by the church department of the federal council of churches. The statement emphasized it has no claim to the reported positions on prohibition related to mission affairs.
Amarillo city judge W H Brummett sided with high school officials over car horns that blast steamboat whistles near public schools. A youth paid 5 for blowing the whistle in front of the high school, and the judge warned others will face fines if the practice continues.
All nobles of Khiva Temple and their ladies are invited to the opening dance in the new Masonic temple Thursday night. Nobles must wear fez and show their 1925 cards at the door and sign a pledge to help organize the big ceremonial on November 24. The new floor is praised and music is expected to be lively.

Three people were killed and more than a score injured when a coach on a Pennsylvania passenger train en route to Wheeling overturned about a mile north of the city this afternoon and caught fire. Fire and rescue crews battled the blaze as survivors were removed from the wreck.

The city commission endorses establishing a Potter County health unit pending county and Amarillo school board action.
