Marriage Celebrations Across Artesia and Fort Worth
Miss Charlene Martin and Lt William Arnot Day wed in Artesia at the First Methodist Church in a double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Pecos Valley ranchers, and the groom son of Redondo Beach natives. The service featured palm banks, seven taper candelabra, and organ music. Afterward a reception was held at the bride’s grandmother Mrs. W S Williams home in Artesia with attending relatives from Amarillo Carlsbad Elk and Los Angeles. The couple plans a life in Los Angeles with Day returning from Army Air Corps duty and connecting with CBS. The Artesia ceremony followed by a Fort Worth event for another couple connected to RKO and the broadcasting world.
