Rifleman fined after firing at cow across highway
Wes Spillers pleaded guilty in justice court to firing a rifle across Highway 287 toward a moving automobile. The shot ripped through the left rear door of Joe Sneed’s car, missing the driver by about eight inches. Spillers, 1118 Buchanan, said the cow he was shooting at charged him before the shot.
