Cars May Cough and Chug but Will Last the War Out
Amarillo garagemen report cars may cough and resemble the 1897 wreck as WPB orders limit parts. Essential components are scarce though functional parts are being manufactured again. Delays persist for motor or engine parts, with Detroit-WPB clearance needed. Heavy cars use more oil and should be driven more, while water pumps and light-car parts are especially scarce.
